I've just bought a pair to go along with my HTC Hero phone, and i've seen the light, i am just amazed how nice the sound is. In Norway you have to pay 166 $ for the BH604, but i got em on discount for 80 $. I think 189 $ would be a bit pricy..

Isn't 18 Hz to 18 Khz like the whole audible spectrum?

Frequency response 22 Hz to 18 kHz is very poor. Good for conversations but not for the music.

Easy hook-up around calls is decided by your player.

With My Samsung, music did not resume. With my Nokia E51 music resumes just fine after a call.

When pausing music I had to restart the player in my Samsung, with my Nokia the pause stays idle forever. Music resumes just fine when pause is pushed again.

I'm sure Bluetooth is improving constantly from all suppliers, but concerning BH-604 everything seems to be supported.

I forgot:
Using headphones that cover the ear like the BH-604, limits the design of glasses/sunglasses you can wear. You need a thin stick on your glasses to get full benefit from your 604 and for it fit in a comfortable way

Hey all...

Nice Review. I bought the BH-604 half a year ago and use them frequently. I agree to the review.

Sound is crisp - The sound spectre is amazing from top to bottom - and the lifetime of one charge is crazy.

Benefits of these large size phones is that they cover the entire ear and exclude sound outside and keep sound inside, providing a serious power-sensation. Second you can listen to music at a serious volume, go to the library and no-one will even notice.

The 604 plays just about any variety of music and convincing too. IMO Nokia boosted the bass a tiny bit too much, similar to turning on loudness on an old amplifier. On my Nokia E51 I have an equalizer and I can compensate. Before I used them with my Samsung S700 also performing extremely well.

Where I live I have brickwall seperating rooms. Leaving my player in the center of my apartment I have crystal connection everywhere, both playing music having conversations etc. Concidering no cables, no disconnection and no outside noice BH604 is like a dream-come-true letting you do the things you have without interrupting your dream.

Concerning your Ipod.... To my knowledge Apple has still not introduced the A2DP protocol (read - stereo bluetooth) Hence, Ipods and Iphones will not connect without gateways.

The reason for me not going the Iphone way yet.

Not mentioned above:
When in speechmode you can mute the microphone by pushing play

604 provides serious volume in itself and you can turn down the volume of your player and save battery. 604 will still keep going long after your player died. In my setup the Nokia E51 plays at 1/3 volume and the rest is provided by 604 and controlled from 604.

Final remarks:
The BH-604 is not a sport and exercise solution. Too heavy and it will not sit tight when jogging or other. It will get uncomfortably warm around your ears.

One back side on my BH-604. It seems there is a bad fit mechanically inside the headphone. Once in a while I have a low click as if to bits of plastic touch eachother??? I am not sure if this was fixed or it is a stand alone case on my headphone..

However, this is minor and I can highly recommend this headphone.

Ciao

To listen music from a source other than your phone, you'll need the Nokia Wireless Audio Gateway AD-42W or a similar product. With the gateway, you can do just that.
