Dude Gets Thumb Surgery For iPhone

This is about the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of. Some dude named Thomas Martel got thumb surgery so that it’d be easier for him to use his iPhone. Now although Tom could argue that he’s a tall guy and therefore needed the surgery, it’s still not worth slicing skin for the sake of using a phone. The procedure was done by making a small incision into both thumbs and shaving down the bones, followed by careful muscular alteration and modification of the fingernails.
In essence, this is totally gross and probably very painful. Never alter your fingers just so you can text Becky to tell her how great that skirt looked today at work. Seriously.

You know the feeling when you read something and it causes an emotional overload in your brain that leaves you struggling to decide whether you should laugh or cry? I thought the piss-screen story got me close, but this one definitely pushed my brain over the edge! I would love to finish this comment with an elaborate Ass of Thor reference, but I can’t think anymore after reading this!

it strikes me as funny that millenia went into the evolution of opposable thumbs, enabling us, a fairly defensless mammal, to survive and make tools, now we make tools and have to alter our thumbs
just so that we can send, “C u l8r - g2g home LOL” clearly we’ve reached the pinnacle of evolution, which means it’s all downhill from here
