As Deleon and I waited for Entourage to come on last night, this commercial for Buy.com popped on during some channel surfing. There were five of us in the room and for a total of 30-seconds, we all sat without saying a word watching the worst commercial for a website we’ve ever seen. Buy.com, because of this commercial, you will go out of business. There is simply no way anyone can take you seriously now.
Maybe if Buy.com had an advertising budget more than $10, they could have at least gotten Flight of the Conchords to do it.
I saw this commercial a few weeks ago and realized how horrible it was, but haven’t seen it since. Hopefully, they had the foresight to only air the thing once every 3 weeks.

I’ve seen this a couple times. First time was right after I bought something from them….I was so unhappy with them anyway, I decided not to buy from them anymore regardless of the commercial.
Bad, bad, bad…and they want to take Amazon.com’s place as the market leader?!?!

I probably have bought 10’s of thousands of dollars worth of stuff from buy.com over the years (a lot of that for work), but they’ve pretty much sucked for the past 5 years anyhow so it’s no surprise that they’ve just increased their suckitude.
I’m really glad to know there are others out there that think this commercial is the epitome of suck. I see this thing at least once a day on ESPN or ESPN2 and have to mute the TV it’s so bad. This, coupled with the other annoying one that has the owner talking about his website, is really the most pathetic advertising campaign I’ve ever seen. Are they even trying? If anyone from Buy.com is reading this, you probably want to pull this thing, because I for one will never ever shop at your store and support this dreck.
