There are some sick people in this world and the guys over at PS3 Vault seem to be the merriest bunch of them. The team spent quite a few hours stress testing the PS3, putting it through tasks no human would ever endure. Each environment they tested the PS3 included running various games and movies on the console for a total of 108 hours per environment. A typical family room at 73 F was fine, but throwing the PS3 in the back of a freezer van and into a sauna?! Unheard of!
I’ll leave the enjoyment of reading the details to yourself, but the PS3 does survive it all. Betcha an Xbox 360 couldn’t even survive in the 73 F room.
