Time Warner Cable To Expand VOD Service

Since we got Time Warner Cable in our new apartment, I haven’t been the hugest fan of the service. I do enjoy the quick video-on-demand features that let me watch “Flight of the Conchords” anytime I want however and it looks like TWC will be improving the on-demand service. A new feature called “Start Over” could be available by years end and will allow the user to start a TV show they missed over again. However, you won’t be able to skip ads, so the service risks backfiring on those who DVR to skip the clutter.

  • My dad has the Start Over feature back in Greensboro, NC. I live in Raleigh in which I don’t even have On Demand/DVR/Anything..just basic cable box (but not for much longer, HD DVR here I come!) . So when I saw the Start Over for the first time, I thought that was a real good idea. He’s had it for a few months now though.
