Cool… and in the winter time you can use it for an Olympic sport whose name escapes me at the moment. Just need two tracks next to one another to make it more interesting.

Check out this much better Slip N Slide:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaH-sYFsP0o

It was built in May 2005. In July 2005 the slide’s owner threw the 1st annual Slip N Slide party with about 200 people.

We just had the 3rd annula Slip N Slide party this past July. Got about 6 or 7 hours of video to go thru. As soon as i can get that video edited, I’ll post more on you tube. The video up on You tube now if from the 1st party in July 2005.

    Slide facts:
    It is near Arnold, MO.

It is about 70 feet in elevation change.

The slide is 250′ long, 10′ wide.

    The pond is 20′w x 30′l.

The custom built pump puts out 160 gal a min to the top and will recycle the water once every 5 minutes. The pump had to be “re-engineered”. The stock pump would only get the water about 70′ up the hill.

The water is chlorinated and filtered.

Overall it took 40,000 lbs of boulders, 120,000 lbs of sand, 100,000 lbs of pulverized dirt, 80,000 lbs of crushed rock, about 7,000 lbs of roofing membrane, approx 600 lf of PVC for the approx 20,000 gallons of water.

It took over 500 man hours to build.

It would cost about $40K if you wanted to have one built (assuming you already have a hill).

In general, do negroes slide farther or less far than white people on a slip-n-slide?
