Yikes. Not good. Not good at all. South Hessia, Germany’s TrekStor has launched a new MP3 player in its “i.Beat” series called the “blaxx.”
Put that all together and you’ve got yourselves a nice little marketing/PR nightmare.

Can’t wait to see the apology letters. I’m surprised Al Sharpton is nowhere to be found on this one.
Is “iBeat Blaxx” also an iPod killer? Now that’s what I call a “disruptive technology.”
So….this is the Police version?
Wow, so its come to point that we can’t call something back..blaxx. This si what happens when pin heads grow up in a liberal culture.
Anyone who thinks there is a racial under tone or that there will be an out cry should just hit their own reset.
How do we know they don’t plan an i.Beat.SLVR or an i.Beat.Yell Ow, or an i.Beat.TURK noise. Or, horrors, a i.Beat.Yite
Get a grip.
Actually Mr. Anonymous, if you think black people will not find offense in a product named “I beat blaxx” then maybe you should hit your reset.
liberal or not
while I do think some of the cries of racism is sometimes a little far fetch. I found this to be so obvious that I had to laugh at it, and I’m a black man….who doesn’t follow politics (liberal has nothing to do with anything in my case).
Its was called “I BEAT BLAXX” for Christ sake.
Racial, and sexual undertones are always good for a few laughs. I don’t think that anyone should be to upset by this, especially considering these things always get remarkable comments like,

That is so great. Now if they would have never come out with this product, who knows, maybe I would have missed out on some great humor.
Why all this connection with skin colour? My first reaction was that the name sounds like that sound someone makes when barfing.
Great News!
“Is “iBeat Blaxx” also an iPod killer? ”
I think, it is.
Thanks for a useful information!
