hp-compaq-dx2250article-width.jpgHP’s new dx2250 desktop — and AMD-based workstation — will come pre-loaded with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. The PC, which will cost about $500, is currently available in Australia because, as we all know, kangaroos live there.

The PCS with run an Athlon 64 X2 dual core, Althon 64, and Sempron processors and is going to be aimed at the enterprise rather that Mr. and Mrs. Vista. Exciting? Not yet for us on this side of the pond, but it’s nice to know we won’t have to pay the Microsoft tax soon.
