This guy sounds like a real genius. Some dude on the Se7enSins.com forums posted screens of his TV. It seems he got banned from Xbox Live for violating the Terms of Service agreement. Understandable, but when he rebooted his Xbox 360, he got an image that said:
You have been suspended from Xbox Live. You will not be able to sign in to Xbox Live until 12/31/9999.
Ouch. Turns out the guy was playing an early copy of Halo 3. Hmm, let’s see. Guy plays unreleased game on networking service, guy gets banned. Makes sense to me. No word on how the guy got a copy of Halo 3 so early. Hit the jump for a pic of the painful permaban screenshot.
Ok. Let’s wait. Only 7992 years to go. Halo 2347 will be released just two days after that date. I have enough cash for pizza until next Tuesday, though…. could be a problem.
This may only be the beginning of his problems. Can we say “caught with pirate copy of a microsoft product”, and they have all your credit card info?

Yeah, I would be a lil more worried than just being banned from Xbox live at this point. You have an ILLEGAL COPY of one of the biggest games yet and you’re bummed about not being able to play online anymore? I can’t wait to watch this lawsuit.
What a jackass – how many times do you have to see things like this before you remember to UPLUG THE ETHERNET CABLE before playing your pirated games? No worries – he’ll have lots of friends to play with in jail soon anyway.
This is really OLD news. People were getting banned for illegally playing the Halo 3 BETA left and right. Check out Xbox-Scene posts months ago for details. I have not heard any news that someone would actually have a retail Halo 3 version, and it sure would have popped up on the usual Xbox-related websites, so I assume that this guy got caught for playing the Beta on a badly modded Xbox360. Yawn.

Wow! That is the dumbest thing i heve ever heard. Why couldnt of he just waited until is was leaglly abe to be bought. Makes no sense to me.

It may have been a legit copy of halo 3, I work at a video store and we get the games about 2 weeks before release so we can place the product in the computers and what not. Thing is i don’t play them until release because of this reason, at least i can play with my cod mw2 nightvision between then and release date!
