Does anyone else really believe that there will be an increased-capacity Touch before the new year? I can’t believe they would be prepared to take the rap so soon after annoying so many iPhone buyers.
Also, after such an increadible product launch (in terms of sheer number of things announced), I don’t expect any more iPod news til about March… This is a shame, because I would buy a 16GB in a second if it weren’t for the stupidly low capacity (imagine having owned a 4G B&W iPod for three years and then having to loose 4GB of space PLUS cope with shoehorning video & photos into that same space. I hate/love Apple :-)
Is it just me or does anyone else see the bluetooth symbol in the top right corner beside the battery icon??? Either way you can now buy the 4gb iphone for the same price as the ipod touch kind of makes you wonder why you would just want the touch??
Right there with you, Peter – 16gb is not enough for $400. (The other features MIGHT be – but when capacity is important, 16 gigs won’t cut it.)
@Dynamic: The 4gb iPhone is no more. It’s the 8gb iPhone that comes at the same price as the iPod Touch – and I don’t wonder why people would go with the Touch at all. Double capacity and no contractual obligation. If I had once been considering an iPhone, I would definitely be taking a hard look at the iPod Touch.
Gun is right on in my eyes. I was ready to buy my iPhone after my brother has had nothing but good experiences with it and then they announced the iPod touch. I have already ordered my iPod touch 16GB from Apple’s website. No need to switch my phone for an iPod phone when I can keep a separate phone which is more reliable and I can get a device that is twice the capacity as the iPhone, the only thing you lose is the Edge service from AT&T which isn’t that great anyway. iPod touch is the way to go, for me.
Dudes you are all missing the point. In the game of global competition Apple and their partner ATT are concerned with Google and T-Mobil as well as eBay (the inept owner of Skype) you see unlike the SteppingWolf song you can not: Fire all of your guns at once. And explode into space.
Come now, can you imagine the capital loss if ya’all were sipping half-caf soy almond latte at Starbucks and talking to your French girlfriend in Paris on Skype for FREE!
Gezzz I got to keep jet fuel in the 900 for christ sakes. Dang them Google heads shure-do have a nice 767, any-who, I got to figure a way to make you people pay. So enough of this bluetooth stuff for now – in time my boys, in time. Maybe a little GPS too as well.
