Old-skool: Wacom has yet to release images of the SE version
Nothing too major here, but looks like Wacom is giving its line of Intuos tablets an update. The new Special Edition Intuos3 Tablet celebrates Wacom’s 25th year in business and pays homage to the product that helped ease animation to the PC. You’ll be able to pick out a tablet in 6×8, 6×11, and 9×12 sizes, all in a new gunmetal finish. Included with each tablet is a “Professional Accessory Kit”, which is just a bunch of extra nibs and pen grips.
Perhaps the best part of these special edition tablets is the bundled Corel software package, which no doubt has Painter included on it. Prices range from $370 to $500 and they’ll be available later this week.

One point of clarification: the tablet is bundled with Painter Essentials 3, not Painter. PE3 is an introductory digital painting software that allows even the most artisticly inept (read: me) turn photos into paintings. The program is a great way to test the digital painting waters without having to invest in a professional-grade application.
