I miss the “old days” when computers were fun in and of themselves, and not just some tool to do a job like they are today. Computing has gone from being creative and making things to simply being a “consumer” — just like many other things our world these days.
I suppose that’s why we’re seeing the revival in DIY projects and stuff like that as people from my generation, who grew-up creating and building projects, are tired of just buying stuff and want to feel what it’s like to create once again.
