"I blame this on the employees of the cybercafe. They should have cut him off after like, 12 hours. "

Nope... I've had major gaming sessions before, as have many gamers - usually with a few friends. Hell I once went to a LAN that ran for about 4 days straight... quite a few of us were up for most of that time. Follow these simple rules:

1. Drink (water as well as caffeine)
2. Eat, even if it's pizza
3. Get up and move around every hour or so.
4. Been up for 18 hours but don't want to stop? Catnaps will work wonders!

Big shock, noone I know has died playing videogames!

I'm sick and tired of hearing "So and so has died tragically because of XXXX" immedately followed by "I blame ". People are responsible for their own actions. He should have taken care of his body and he didn't, now he's dead.

Don't take this as a heartless view.. I not glad he's dead, I wish someone had stepped in to help him as he clearly had a problem if he can ignore his body for 3 days screaming "FOR GODS SAKE GIVE ME WATER, MOVE A LITTLE!". But end of the day he was an adult and responsible for himself.

30 hours?! No job to go to? No wife, girlfriend or family to go home to? No friend who called up to ask: "Hey, wanna hit the cybercafe? You're already there? Weren't you just there last ni...Oh, you're still there."
At the risk of sounding like a totally insensitive prick (don't they have some sort of an ointment for that?), but can you really die if you didn't already have a life to begin with?

I was concerned about the same thing happening to people who were covering the release of the iPhone.
