Iphone is getting popular day by day, as it is growing with a lot of new enhancements and improvement. Another great news is that you can now get the job offer that you wanted. It guides you the effective way to write to the potential workers. A very effective guide to correct and improve our writing skills.

Be careful using the iPhone for data downloads when abroad: I downloaded 16.5Mb while in the USA and was startled to find that it cost almost £100 because it calls back to the UK each time. Difficult because so many iPhone functions depend on the web.
If you can't use WiFi, stick to voice and SMS while abroad. Avoid maps, weather etc!

I have an iPhone, I think it's great. However, an 18 month contract is NOT an 18 month contract if at the end of the term I have no option to take it to another network. This is a lifetime contract masked as 18 months.

I love Apple, but they have got the iPhone just plain wrong - especially here in the UK. Here are three reasons;

1. UK mobile phone purchasers who buy monthly contracts, especially at over £35 per month for 18 months, get free or heavily subsidised phone handsets (usually £150-200 cheaper). The iPhone is NOT subsidised, Apple pocket the normal subsidy and O2 benefit from the anti-competitive locking.

2. On a monthly contract, free handsets are normally supplied unlocked allowing true freedom of choice for the consumer if the service provider is not up to scratch. The iPhone is not only network locked - it is locked to that SIM - O2 will not even allow Business Customers to buy an iPhone from them and use it their Corporate O2 calling and data plans. Blackberry must be relieved.

3. At the end of the contract, I can sell my unlocked handset and anyone can put another sim in it and it just works - forget it with the iPhone. If you do not renew with O2 the contract says your phone lock will not be released and it will not function.

An iPhone on a decent calling plan will cost £269 + 18 x 45.00 and be unusable at the end of the contract unless you renew. Total cost £1,079.

Compare the iPhone with the Nokia N95. On a £35 plan + £7.50 unlimited data from O2 it costs £2.50 per month less than the above plan, the phone is free, it is unlocked and you will get about £150 for it at the end of the contract.

Total cost difference to iPhone - about £464 cheaper.

Many people in UK will only discover these hidden costs after they buy the iPhone but they are catching on fast. That is why iPhone UK sales will bomb.

Sorry, Steve, I love the device and what you are trying to do (I have an iPhone (working great on Vodafone of course)), but in Europe we expect choice - especially when we have paid for the device.

The foundation of the iPhone and Apple is built on Open source - perhaps Apple has forgotten its origins.

Thanks to the iPhone Dev Team and all the other guys who are working so hard to keep this an 'Open' platform and give consumers what they want - an 'open' iPhone. You are heros !!

The O2 and Apple PR machine will have to do a lot more work in the UK to sell this phone....even if it is in the run up to Christmas. I love Apple but there seems to be a lot of fluff surrounding the iphone. This might be a big comms jump forward in the States but in Europe it is actually a step backwards in the comms world, even if it is a major fashion statement.

Sure it looks good, but doesn't take video, doesn't allow for MMS and has no 3G and for this rather neutered machine you have to pay over £250 AND £35 per for 18 months.

18 months is long time in this tech terms, especially when Steve Job has inferred the 3G unit may on the cards within a year. I might even come with video and MMS too.

I think a 12 month upgrade to a new Nokia or another SE is in line this year, I can wait for the iphone to grow a bit and come down in price.

You get what you pay for ! classic, still not sure it'll wash with Uk market though. I've got pretty used to not paying for my phone. So Apple gets to cash in on the phone, and 02 gets to keep it subsidisation money. Woop. But hey apple has a strong brand so people might go for it. I'm looking forward to seeing the mysterious apple I-phone man lurking in the back of carphone warehouse, robot style.
