Memories, in the corners of my mind…

BBSpot is reporting that Vista Service Pack 1 will improve speed and performance by installing Windows XP, one of Microsoft’s earlier product updates. They went on to note that the next version of Windows, Windows 7, will be available in the next 18 to 20 months, give or take four years.

“Ever since I install (sic) Vista I’ve wanted to go back to XP,” said Trey Sportia. “I’m glad Microsoft has given me an easy downgrade path.”

In related news, users of Windows Vista may be eligible for a $100 early-adopter refund for investing in the technology. This includes a full install of either Windows 3.1 or MS-DOS Shell, depending on their initial Windows Vista purchase, both of which run like fiends on a Dual Core Mac Pro.
