I mean look at the whole "no more Linux" thing. Even though that has already been bypassed by savvy computer folk. Why would Apple care if all of T-mobile's customers became iPhone users? And how do they plan on locking your phone down from receiving updates? There has got to be a few pins inside the iPhone that when shorted, return it to the original state (then just get the newest updates and install the hack again).
