I have had 2 sidekicks. first I Had the sidekick 3 which cracked in half then i got the sidekick slide. i was very disappointed with the slide. First, my screen would change colors, the phone would freeze and shut off all the time, that all started after i had the phone for a week. you cant record videos on the phone and the web browser on the phone sucks. To use the music player you have to have memory card and it located in a really dumb place on the phone, under the battery. the phones camera only holds 3 pictures, so if you want more then 3 pics on the phone you have to use a memory card as well. the phone is made very poorly and cheap. we decided to call tmobile and tell them how the phone freezes and shuts off and they wouldnt do anything. the service and customer care sucks to! i dont recomend the phone or carrier/service

Tmobile service sucks…they will extend your contract without even you know. I bought slide kick it’s still under warranty …i can’t download any phots, music..when contacted to customer rept. they are asking more money..they are not ready to change the device…you better go with AT & T rather then tmobile. Tmobile service sucks..and prefer to use regular phone then slide kick …it’s horriable.

Ok I don’t know why the hell the slide doesn’t have a video app. That’s just retarded. That’s why not many people like the sks anymore. Although they keep making “updates” when they make new ones and the occasional over the air “updates”, the slide itself is still very much outdated. There’s no video recording, there’s no mobile apps that allow you to look a phone number or person, it can only hold 10 ringtones, you can not personalize the background with your own picture (screensaver only), it only allows you around 1500k of app space, everytime the phone is shut off by any other way than the power button (ex. Battery removal) the phone goes back to factory mode with only having saved the pics, apps, and games (empty txt msg folders empty pics msg folders), the backgrounds are gone, the ringtones are gone. However they will come back sometime that day or the next. There are some other flaws. If you look past all of that shit I guess its not a bad little phone. I have the slide and Im actually typing all this crap out on it… Its great for cutting time on typing because of the qwerty keybord. I guess that’s one good thing about it. Honestly if I were you I would find someone that has one and ask them to let u really take a good hard look at it and see if you really like it.

HEY DUDES.I GOT THE SIDEKICK SLIDE FOR MY BIRTHDAY.ITS BEEN A WHILE NOW AND ITS COOL AND ALL, BUT THERE’S SOME THINGS U SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IT BEFORE U BUY IT….ITS COOL BUT IT CAN’T RECORD IMAGES, IT CAN ONLY TAKE PICS…IF U WANNA RECORD A SOUND,IT WILL ONLY LET U DO IT FOR 20 SECONDS…WHICH SUCKS.THE CAMERA CAN’T ZOOM IN UNTIL AFTER U TAKE THE PIC, END THERE’S NO BUILT IN FLASH SO SORRY, U CAN’T TAKE PICS AT NIGHT.OH YA,AND IF U HAVE THE “FLEX PLAN,” U HAVE TO BUY A “TO GO REFILL CARD” TO DOWNLOAD SONGS.(U CAN GET THE CARD AT A WALGREENS, LONGS,7-11,OR A GAS STATION)..IF U HAVE THE FLEX PLAN, IT COMES WITH MYSPACE, AND U WON’T NEED TO BUY IT….THE SUCKY PART ABOUT THE SIDEKICK SLIDE IS THAT THERE IS NOOOO FREE RINGTONES.U HAVE TO BUY IT FROM THE CATALOG ON UR PHONE.U HAVE TO BUY A MEMORY CARD FOR MUSIC AND TO STORE MORE PHOTOS…IF U SLIDE THE PHONE DOWN TOOOO HARD,IT WILL SHUT OFF AND ERASE ALL UR PHONE NUMBERS AND PICTURES.SO MAKE SURE UR GENTLE WITH IT.A LOT OF PEOPLE HAD THIS PROBLEM…OTHER THAN THAT ITS COOL…………….LATERZZ!!

I just got the brown lx and I’ve been through the 2,3, and ID. The LX is a great phone, beautiful screen, picture messaging which previous sidekicks haven’t had and it does have aim,yahoo, and msn messenger. its sleeker then the other sidekick and the high resolution screen makes it look alot classier then previous sks. I almost bought the slide, simply because of the cheaper price, but that’s the only thing the slide could beat the lx out of. Its not even a real sk it doesn’t perform the flip the usual sks are known for, whackk. Plus if you watch ashantis new video, soulja boys video, or listen to any bay slaps, they always have their sidekicks, the more expensive and better looking LXs, not the slides. But I guess if you are too cheap and THAT desperate for any type of sk go for the slide, its cheap. They look cheap and bulky obviously has its faulty technology. Lx way to go.

I am thinking about getting one but with what people are saying about the not so good quality of the camera and the pad buttons are to samll im not sure if i really wat to spend that much money…and over here in Australia there selling it for $1,000 + since its a “new” thing over here.

I have a sidekick3 and before I got it, I was so convinced that it was the best fucking thing invented since toast, but low and behold, after a while you’ll end up hating it, trust me. It’s awesome yeah whatevers but trust you will get annoyed many times and will want to break it in a million pieces because it freezes, has crappy service even if you’re in big cities like LA where I am at, sometimes it wont notify you of missed calls/texts/whatever, and when you really need it to work and make a phone call, it will hang up on you with that annoying little sound it makes….basically, you can’t depend on this phone for shit. By the way, it does not matter whether it slides or swivels, the cheapass plastic its made out of cracks really freakin easy. I’ve went through three sk3s so far because they always end up breaking and a few friends of mine have the slide and a cousin has the lx and they just like any other sidekick owner, ended up hating them too. But Im not saying not to get it because Im thinking of trading in my sk3 for this baby..if only it had video….*sigh… But it is an improvement; atleast you don’t have to send pics through email only. Oh, and yeah, the slide is 10 million times better than the lx because the lx doesn’t have instant messaging and it’s bigger and why the hell would you want a brown phone? ew…[yes I know it comes in blue too..thank god] and did I mention the lx is bigger? If you want a big sidekick, get a sidekick3. Oh and also typing like tHiSs doesnt make you look cool, it really does make you look like an idiot. Yeah I am a teenager and guess what Im a SURENA [sur side ganster chick for those of you who really are stupid], too! Doesn’t mean I gotta make myself look like an involid…
But yeah, go for the slide, it really is a sexy little sidekick..:]
