Vista will eat itself

Don Reisinger knows what’s good for Microsoft and that’s burying all copies of Vista in New Mexico along with E.T. for the Atari 2600. He points out all of Microsoft’s failures — no extras, a stunning resemblance to OS X/Linux, and slow updates — and refuses to see the good deep in Vista’s heart.

The time is up. Microsoft must abandon Vista and move on. It’s the company’s only chance at redemption.

Don, Don, Don. First, have someone else start your car for you tomorrow morning because Redmond’s vat-grown ninjas are definitely on to you and have already probably wired it to Blue Screen you. Second, Vista is not a failure. It’s a new OS with lots of problems but it’s not going anywhere. Run XP all you want. Eventually your indignity will be rewarded when MS pulls their support for XP and makes you buy Vista 2012 Cyborg/Student Edition. Microsoft is pushing you into the future, albeit with some bumps, and you’re going to have to eat their porridge or install Feisty Fawn, which I hear is great.

  • Thank you CrunchGear! Nice to see a blog that treats this anti-MS rant of an article like it should be treated – like crap! Vista is FAR from perfect but “MS should abandon it” that is like saying all parents of kids with learning disabilities should suffocate them with a pillow. MS needs to embrace Vista MORE and make it better not turn tail and run like a bunch of idiots.

  • I just hope M$ continues on the track they’re on… It just gives more leverage to OS X and Linux in the mainstream. Keep puttin’ out junk!

  • Agreed! Stop with all the Vista “hatin’” – okay? I’ve been running Vista since RC1 (or something) and I would never go back. Apart from crappy driver support from Cisco with my VPN I really don’t have any issues and I really love the OS… A great upgrade. It’s AS stable as XP is and for a first release… not too shabby. Every time new software is released it takes an SP or so to get some actual end user kinks worked out. I can live with this. (If your Vista install is not as stable… you better rethink what you’re doing.)

  • I will NEVER install DRM infected Vista on any of my PC`s….Never!!!
