Alex, you make a valid point and in that light I'd have to agree with you. However, it is still a jerk move on their part wherein they will shut down your service simply if you publicly announce your problems with them.

The worst part is that they don't specifically state what is considered an offense to their reputation. Which means they can decide what you can and cannot do on the spot without having to abide by any rules.

Also, it's kinda strange/scary that they would say that because they would not have included it in a legal contract if they had no means of monitoring such activity.

Thanks for the input!

I just love how all the amateur editors come out of the network on blogs, especially those who do not appear to publish themselves (or do not have the balls to put a link to their blog) and those who are published are apparently not immune to the grammar bug themselves.

As for AT&T, I loathe doing business with them; I wish they would stop buying up all the companies I do business with, then I would not have to change vendors all the time and phone numbers.

"I don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet or not, but you misspelled “censors”"

LOL! Perfect.

Now, back to the post.

I think your sensitivites have been offended.

I don't really think what AT&T is doing is actually sensoring in the China, Venzuela kinda' way. (I zoned out after reading the first paragraph of the contract so I'm going by what Ilya wrote.)

You're entering into a contract. If you don't agree with the terms...don't sign up. If you do sign up and the service is that terrible, well then, expire the contract and go somewhere else to rant about how much AT&T stinks.

Censoring isn't always a bad thing. I'm sure if I came to CrunchGear every day and trolled through all the entries, I hope, someone would delete my posts or block my IP or do some other internet web thing so I couldn't post anymore. No need to ruin everyones CrunchGear experience just 'cause I'm an ass.

Remember, your 1st Amendment Right to Free Speech is only a protection against government interference. Not AT&T, Verizon, or even CrunchGear.

"Sensors" are what Mr. Spock observes on the starship Enterprise.

"Censors" refers to the suppression of unacceptable material.

Perhaps it's time to stop worrying about AT&T and go buy a grammar book.

It's pretty lame. But it's only one more argument in favor of net neutrality. Remember how they reversed themselves on letting pro-choicers use their text messaging system? Well I bet it happens here too.

Also, it's censors, not sensors.
