Zune 2 launch date confirmed
by Peter Ha on October 3, 2007

We just received confirmation from our little birdie that the launch date for the new line of Zunes is November 13. Yeah, Amazon already leaked that info, but it’s nice to have confirmation.

  • I don’t understand why there is so much coverage on this device. I don’t remember the archos wi-fi getting this much coverage when it was announced. (It should of). When the Zune was first released, people asked “What’s a Zune?”. When the Zune 2 is released, people are just going to ask “What’s a Zune 2?”.

  • It’s that or the latest Hello Kitty USB fan. Take your pick.

Squircle, can I say more. This from the biggest flock of overpaid Mensa Morons in history. Is there a stupid ray in Redmond and if so can anyone find the “OFF” switch?

  • Can you please offer a Zune free feed? Cause really I couldn’t give less of a shit about this ugly one step from failing PMP.

  • Previously, I was waiting to learn more about the now ‘revised,’ SanDisk/Sansa ‘View,’ myself -
PROS: Slender form, a MicroSD slot (yes!) and video capabilities (30 FPS 30 for WMV and MPEG4) Jury is out on FLAC support.
CONS: no video out capabilities, non-replaceable battery.

Any chance the new Zunes will support FLAC (or am I just asking a silly question?)

  • People these days, you guys should check out the amount of coverage the new ipods got! It’s nice to see it’s main competitor (and one that I think offers more) get some coverage.
