I played around with both a few months ago and they're about as good as any touch screen UI on the market today. It was as your acquaintance pointed out a bit 'clunky'. It wasn't a production model so I'm not sure if anything has changed since I played with it. It wasn't terrible or anything, but a little slow and required you to hit the icons just right. It was pretty slick and the features aren't too shabby.

I've seen some hands on with the yp-p2 and the user said that the ui is kinda clunky. Have you heard any thing else on it?
