If or when the iPhone comes to Canada, it would more likely be Rogers screwing the hapless users than Apple. Rogers has a reputation for being quite happy to screw anyone or anything for a buck.

The other problem with iPhones ever being sold in Canada is the fact that Rogers (or any other carrier) is unlikely to give anyone a break on their monthly “service fees.” It is my understanding that to operate an iPhone as is under the present system would cost users hundreds of dollars extra a month.

Actually this story is false. The retailer “Holt Renfrew” came out today and denied the story.

And as a matter of fact the Canadian dollar closed today at 1.01302 USD (AKA the Bush-Cheney Peso). So the iPhone should be priced at $393.00 CAD.
