I read about grooveshark and their promo on TechCrunch and decided to give it a whirl yesterday. I populated my account with 10$ to try things out and spent two hours getting error messages and having my downloads stalled.

So it was supposed to cost me 29 cents a song, but I wasted hours, got 5 songs and had my account dinged for 25. Now I have $3 in my account and can't get the songs I paid for to download.

Were they just unprepared to scale to the volume, or did I just get taken for a ride? I checked out their site looking for a support email to get my issues handled, but that isn't one of their options.

Anybody else get whacked?

I don't want to be a wet blanket, but there are some interesting comments being made on the TechCrunch post regarding the EULA.

It gave me pause.
