Let me guess: the show will be about a young boy or girl who has parental issues, just like Luke, Anakin, Leia, Boba Fett...need I go on?

I think shows like Star Trek, Heroes, Supernatural, Stargate etc, draw alot of viewers. The true sci-fi fan im sure, will give it a once over, in the very least. I think if they have a good storyline it wont be hard getting people to get away from the reality show kick. Its been kicked like a dead horse. Most people who watch reality shows watch to hopefully see people in worse situations than the ones they are in or they sit drueling hoping someone is going to get in an arguement. We need a break from the the overflow of reality and see a little creativity. How will a society act as a whole when the things we see are the things we incorporate in our lives. Garbage in garbage out. We loose a little of ourselves when we stop dreaming and neglect our imaginations. Most heroes are villans in this day and age. I think that also says alot. Unfortunately creative expression has been bent into sex sells and our society as a whole has jumped on board. Please reply im board.
