When I first posted about the B710 there wasn’t a whole lot about it that made me think it was worth mentioning other than a quick blurb. I mean, sure, the PIP is cool, but I didn’t think it was THAT cool. After seeing it in person yesterday (and unknowingly a few days before since it’s my Uncle’s phone), I’ve certainly changed my mind. The ability to watch a terrestrial channel and satellite channel at the same time is neat, but the B710 possesses a feature that absolutely blew my mind. It can take 3D images. That’s right, you heard me, 3D images. Something to do with the screen produces the images in such a way that they look 3D. I heard Sharp had done something similar in the past, but this is the first time I’ve seen it in person.
As I mentioned before, I had some hands-on time with the phone earlier in the week, but it didn’t seem like anything special. I immediately flipped it over and saw that the camera was only 1.3-megapixel and it had two lenses. Two lenses? 1.3-megapixel? Time to move on, right? Well, the $800+ tag might sway your decision. It’s probably the coolest phone I’ve seen in a long time. Other than the F700, which I hope makes its way stateside soon. ☺

I followed the development proces of the stereoscopic (3D) cellphone (mobile phone) 2 years before its relise to the Sth Korean Market
This camera is either 2×1.2 or 2×1.3 mg so the image is more like a 2.4 meg or 2.6 meg image quality.
The software for the phone camera was Developed by the Australian Company DDD this company is now based in the USA
Despite all this sadly it is not available in Australia & Im told it may never be!
One reason is this Phone Camera is a CDMA phone & uses the CDMA network only. Despite the fact that CDMA is an excellent system our Government has decided that it will completly cease to operate as of Jan 2008.
My previous phone was a CDMA .After having the phone for 6 Weeks my service provider was compeled to provide me with a non CDMA phone
Can someone help me contact the Sth Korean Sumsung as the Australian Sumsung Does not seem to have a clue as to the existance of this wonderfull device please fell free to contact me on
