We’ve heard plenty of rumors about a 40GB PS3 for $400 a few times, but now Sony is getting all official on us. Come November 2nd, you’ll be able to buy a Playstation 3 for the low price of $399. Need more storage? The 80GB version is taking a dive in price from $599 to $499. Slap another $100 down on a game and a Blu-ray flick and you’re good to go.
It’d be nice if Sony started packaging a game in with the PS3, like the old days of video gaming, but hey, I’ll take a $100 discount any day.

I guess that’s good news. I still can’t believe they axed backward compatibility and memory card readers from the $400 PS3. Seems like a silly decision.
Sony,
Bring out some good games so that the 100 million ps2 owners can have one more reason to upgrade to the ps3, please.
Don’t hold your breath Francoism, next month Sony will release a PS3 for 250$ but it will only allow you to play any of the 12 games for only one hour out of ever 24 and to add insult to injury, force you to watch 5 minutes of infomercials before the “start” button appears on the screen ;-)

I think they need to figure out a way so that those of us who have a PS 2 can upgrade to a PS 3 wihout having to buy a bunch of new games. That’s what I think! http://abraxasthemovie.blogspot.com/
