I suspect that it is the reason the newest Sprint PPC phone was reduced from $549.00 to $299.99, with the discount and rebates. That promotion ends Nov. 3, the day before the Touch is released. I also heard that the new PPC phone will be reduced further once the Touch is released, probably because the Touch will undercut the price of the PPC.
