Nokia’s N81 and 8GB N81 "multimedia computers" are now available globally, according to a recent press release by the Finnish mobile device manufacturer.

The series is geared towards music and games and features dedicated keys to control those functions and you’ll be able to download music directly to N81 and N95 devices using the Nokia Music Store over a wireless LAN or 3G connection.

You’ll also be able to use the revamped N-Gage games service starting in November. There are sixteen games currently listed on the site as "Coming Soon!" plus the N81 phones will come preloaded with "playable demos of EA SPORTS FIFA 07, Asphalt 3: Street Rules and Space Impact Light."

I was able to find the 8GB N81 on Amazon for $549.99 with a 1- to 4-week wait and for $539.99 on JR.com available for pre-order only. JR also has the non-8GB microSD-upgradeable version for $479.99 available for pre-order.
