I am fairly certain that 3g services will be coming out in at least LA and NY fairly soon. It may not be a god idea to drop them just yet.

Yeah, c'mon T-mo! We want 3g!

Hate to say it, but if they dont have it by the end of my contract... I'm going to have to switch to At&T, I needs that 3g! I'll pay more if I have to.

Hey guys, as far as keeping us up-to-date, from what I have seen of T-Mo's practices they keep everyone in the dark until they roll out products or services.

Take the Curve for example. No one said squat until about a month before its debut there were leaks [probably intentional by T-Mo].

I think the posts about 3G in the works is accurate. I saw some leaked into on 3G plans, etc. But that's all I am saying. I know T-Mo will be rolling out phones and services to please even the most demanding of us.

As Ollie North's lawyer said to the investigating congressional committee, T-Mo is not sitting around like a potted plant.

I like your pep talk to out T-Mobile team member. You can't cut them from the team because I am the team owner and only I say who gets cut.

We all have to, as much as it sickens me to echo it, stay the course.

I'll never quit T-Mo. All the other carriers suck a big one. T-Mo is respectful, courteous and always acts like they appreciate my business. That is worth so much more to me than dealing with the rude, condescending assholes at Sprint or AT&T.

I have the T-Mo BlackBerry Curve with the WiFi hotspot @home service. That's up to date enough for me, at least till the next cool phone comes out.

I feel the same way about T-Mobile. I've been with them for 4 years and I have nothing but great things to say about their customer service, their rates, and their generally good way of handling things. For example they pro-rate services when you terminate them. So if you're paying $30/month for data and you cancel it on the 20th of the month, you'll only pay about $20 that month for it. Also they don't penalize you for excessive domestic roaming, which is free. I can't say enough about how great their customer service is, too.

Their phone selection doesn't bother me because I import phones. T-Mobile's network has been idea for importing since they're GSM 1900 only, which all phones made in the last 5 years worth having will support.

I'm afraid I have to leave them now, though. I'm buying a Sony Ericsson K850 which has triband HSDPA support, which means my only option for 3G use is AT&T. UMTS 1700 is probably never going to be a frequency supported by any devices that aren't made specifically for T-Mobile, so I'm not interested in using it.

T-mobile network was listed as worst network in J.D.Power report. I think T-mobile only wants to use 3G specturm for voice service other than data. T-mobile is arguring with Ericsson about 3G implementation. The communicaton between FCC and T-mobile is sucks too. Apple talked with T-mobile first about iPhone. T-mobile sent Apple to at&t. Next year, you can watch Google and Sprint about new services. If not, Verizon and at&t are options for your new cellpone. T-mobile is getting old.

I almost wrote the same thing today. AT&T is rolling out the top smartphones from every company. T-Mobile is announcing almost nothing. Are they even trying to compete anymore? Like Vagelis above, I've been considering switching to AT&T also just to get one of their great phones. I want to be on T-Mobile, but if they don't keep me updated on when to expect some new phones and network upgrades I'm going to leave. I can't wait in limbo forever...

Complete agree. I really like t-mobile and I want 3G and I want to stay with t-mobile. Their customer service is good. I was with Sprint and their customer service was horrible (do they still have Claire the moron?)

I understand they are trying to roll out a 3G network, but some news updates would be nice. I've been a customer since '04 and it's time for 3G. I just wish they would say something about it.

They were smart enough to hook me for two years a year ago so I could get a cool phone (the Dash), so I will wait until my contract ends 13 months from now (I'm not counting, really). If no 3G at that point, I will have no choice but to switch.

Yup...
Really sorry; my beloved T-Mobile, I waited and patiently waited...
And with all the devices around, TyTN II, hp 910c, Ultimate 9502...
I broke down...today I switched to the Death Star... for a year only I hope
Until you bring on your shiny 3G

Sincerely,
V
