So just downgrade it - in some stores they even offer it with XP default. I don't know if this has changed, but i thought on various linux distro's there was problems with some of the hardware working properly. Not sure though. If it's after, good luck if you have 5GB left and the 1GB Ram will be constantly maxed out running Vista as well. They should have made this running XP or even Linux!
