Did you find out why it does this or how to fix it?

i had a sidekick 2008 that was broken and traded it for a shadow.

so far i love the shadow! although the screen seems to be alittle lose. i love it, and i love the keypad its so much easier to type on than the blackberry pearl i hated that keypad

if i had to pick between the blackberry and the shadow i would so go with the shadow!

We really liked this phone for about the first 2 weeks we had it… The issues we have with it are numerous and you just never know how it will work. Calls are missed, text messages go to who knows where, battery dies out of the blue, phone freezes, no coverage (when my own T-Mobile phone is working fine), etc…

I actually really like T-Mobile as a company and they have worked well with us. However, this phone is crap.

I’ve had problems.
It freezes, pops up screens, like its crazy.
For instance, “free storage”…even though i erased my videos, have a storage card.

Also, the number buttons starting working when they felt like it, for example: i would press in my bank numbers, to check my account and the computer on the other end of the phone would resite it back to me wrong..this happened often.

My shadow would also take to long to a site on the mobile-web…but i was willing to over-look it.

Also, media-player when programed to my on-screen, i would try to play a song, it would stop, and i would push play, only it would stop again.

Also, when you have to take out battery often to boost the phone. A headache, a few days ago i thought my phone broke down completely because it would turn back on, come to find out, when i called T mobile they said i might of had dust or something on the battery…yup they were right.

Also, i would miss phone calls, my ringer wouldn’t work.

Also, if you have internet..it takes forever for your phone to turn on, if you turn it off to charge it or whatever, annoying.
Try to do an emergency call, heaven forbid…%^%^^!!

Basically, cell life is very limited, look for it to die out, its a bitch to charge and turn back on.

My phone has had so many problems..has sparitic phone changes..too many to mention..it would be a chapter i’d be writing. It just saddens me because, i still love this phone, i love sliders, the wide screen..but the headaches of making calls…its just became to much. I had a replacement, last week for the same phone and T-Mobile sent me a recxonditioned phone that was damaged, so i sent it back..only to keep mine for an additional 8months untill i can receive a full rebate discount for the Blackberry Curve or their new I phone, touch screen. It gotten so bad today, i’ve decided to return my shadow that i’ve paid almost 300 dollars for. For a new replacement of equal value Blackberry, to me is a down grade as far as the look, that i want of a phone. I even purchased a monaco case for my Shadow.

Well, if you get this phone…wait, untill they fix the kinks.
Ive been a TMobile customer for 4+ years and am very disappointed with them and the phone makers.
Of all of the cell phone companies their best in customer service, Verizon is best with reception and phone styles. Sprint is great with exchanges, thats it. ATT expensive with plans. I hope TMobile gets better phones they would be the best Cell-phone company. The one thing i hate about them is they have limited exchanges, stlyes, and they change they site often leaving you in the loop with services. But as far as plans..their the best.

For all the people that had to replace it … why dont you try using screen guards, or protectors?
