Radiohead. One word.

They'll make a killing of "In Rainbows", and the user gets to choose the price. Listen to Zucker. One minute he says 15 million is chump change, the next minute he start hulu, and the sheer amount of interviews he's doing to try and get the media to sway against Apple is unreal. What an ass. Bottom line is he wants a bigger bottom line. No where does he speak of quality of product. All Apple produces is quality when the consumer is concerned. They created something the market needed to survive and made a brilliant user interface, plus a great way to use that content via the ipod.

Zucker is a baby. Shut up Zucker, and just maybe your board won't fire your ass.

This is a very minor point, but I don't think the industry's reliance on the album model is a bad thing - the industry has always had singles as well. The industry's reliance is seemed to be to be on making such a large margin from the sale of physical formats of releases.

I think that while a brilliant single creates a one-hit wonder, a brilliant album creates a world-class band, and I would be very very sad if the concept of the 'album' ever died, nor do I think it will, even though some people may prefer to buy individual songs.

"If it weren't for that Henry Ford, we buggy whip manufacturers will still be in business!"

How dare car makers put you out of business.
