Macbooks now use Santa Rosa chipsets with a GMA X3100 video upgrade from GMA 950. For $1099 you’ll score a 2GHz Core 2 Duo, 80GB hard drive while for $1499, you get 2.2GHz with 160GB of storage.
Do you have the need for speed? Macbook Pros can now be upgraded to a 2.6GHz Core 2 Duo CPU for a $250. Like I said, nothing exciting, but a minor speed increase is always joyful to some.
