You said you disasembled the lag that was clicking and adjusted the limit switch. Could you please explain how to do this? My son’s will stand up but then it will not transform. At that point it begins to click. Thank you

I had purchased one of these robots for my son for his birthday and encountered the same issue that I have seen all over the internet, the solution I found for my vbot was to disasemble the lag that was clicking and adjust the limit switch, once this was done it worked like a charm, give it a try you child will think you are a hero.

Im having the same problem- it doesnt work in car mode. I havnt used rechargeable batteries yet because I dont have a C recharger. I got it for my son cause I got it mad cheap. It was the only one:(

I bought one for my Grandson for Christmas, it broke
in about 2 hours.
I thought I might buy him a new one for his Bday but after looking at the long list failed units here, noway.
Walmart will not take it back , said we don’t it it anymore, wounder why ,no brainer, don’t buy junk!!!

Bought on of these for my grandson. It sort of worked a few times with a bit of help, and then went dead during a transform. Email to the company requesting a replacement under warranty has been ignored.

I bought one for my son for Christmas and it works fine the only thing is the mp3 player drains the batteries. So I need to invest in some rechargeable batteries.

just got it for christmas for my son now its junk taking it back as soon as i get the reciet transfrom for my son 2 times then broke in the leg hinge it just makes clicking sounds now i wish i read about this toy before we got it.

You should use rechargeable batteries. Having spoken to RC2 the V BOT does have problems operating with normal batteries. They are changing the packaging to say so.

The parts are pretty flimsy but the seem to hold up to abuse. My 2-year-old tears it up regularly with no issues.

I bought the V-bot and it worked fine on both modes.. the only problem and I’m waiting an answer on whether or not replacement parts are available, is that the plastic hinges that hold the front bumper/chest piece of the robot broke and the piece came off on the first day. However, it’s a really really nifty toy and in my case in Car mode it’s pretty fast. I wonder if there is a technical reason why it only works with disposable batteries and not rechargeable ones.

well if you look on youtube it shows v-bots working perfectly so idk what the prob is maybe it wasnt transformed all the way down into a car.

Don’t know what’s going on, I bought 1, it refused to work in car mode. Exchanged it for a new one, and it’s doing the same thing! What’s going on? Batteries are brand new. It was working okay in robot mode, but stopped doing the A-B-C sequences. Returning it tomorrow for good I think, unless the guys at the store can prove me it works like it should.
