As a frequent traveler I am already half-sold on an Android phone. This WhatsOpen app would be one of the first I download. Asking the hotel staff where I can get something to eat at 9 pm is, shall we say, inefficient.

What's more useful to a real person, this application or any of the various unofficial iPhone apps one could call the first one (the Hello World app, the terminal emulator, the pseudo Web server)? And what's more likely to lead to awesomeness, an OS with an official SDK, or the JesusPhone and its homebrew apps likely to be broken with OS upgrades? This will change of course when the AllahPhone gets an SDK.
