UK iPhone launche is a madde house

Meanwhile, back in London, throngs of polite men in bowler hats are mobbing Carphone Warehouse and O2 stores to pick up the latest in Cool Britannia, the iPhone. Look at them all! They’re all very small, actually. Microscopic.

Yes, fine. No one is thronging anything out in Blighty. It’s just another day for these blokes. Whereas us morons will line up for a Leopard release, the Brits barely put down their tea.

iPhone Crowds? Don’t believe the hype! [Dialaphone]

  • could’ve sworn i saw peter ha in one of those lines

  • I walked past a Carphone Warehouse and an O2 store, and sure enough the crowd barriers were on place, the reps were their to entertain the masses, but sadly… no one turned up. They were so desperate to get people into the specially late opened stores that they even had people on the street trying to tempt us in to at least look at Apples little “gadget of the year” - I was not tempted at all, in fact no one was. I did see someone claiming a free O2 balloon though.

Something tells me that people don’t really care about the iPhone in the UK. I know I certainly don’t, I like my N95, it’s a whole lot better.
