I can hardly wait until tomorrow. That’s when Microsoft will release an update "that extends laptop battery life, improves the stability of wireless network connections, shortens recovery time after exiting hibernation or sleep, and deals with compatibility problems with some antivirus software."
The wireless network connection issue, in particular, has been the bane of my existence as a Vista user. I’ll be online minding my own business and all of a sudden I’ll be connected to my router but not the internet. This happens at least ten times every day and to fix it I need to disconnect and reconnect to my wireless network. And every time, I mutter "this is infuriating" aloud, even though my friends, family, and loved-ones are miles and miles away. Here’s hoping this fixes what needs fixing.
Vista speed, stability fixes to hit Windows Update on Tuesday [Computerworld]

Oh yeah. I hardly care.
The update’s been out for awhile:

It came up the other day in Windows Problems and Solutions for me, so I decided to install it. Not that I had any problems with my Vista laptop (or my Vista desktop, for that matter), but extended battery life and shorter boot times is always a good thing.
