What washed up rock star blames college kids for killing the music industry?

The record industry doesn’t have a f—ing clue how to make money. It’s only their fault for letting foxes get into the henhouse and then wondering why there’s no eggs or chickens. Every little college kid, every freshly-scrubbed little kid’s face should have been sued off the face of the earth. They should have taken their houses and cars and nipped it right there in the beginning. Those kids are putting 100,000 to a million people out of work. How can you pick on them? They’ve got freckles. That’s a crook. He may as well be wearing a bandit’s mask.

What Mensa member came up with that one, you freckle-faced college kids?

Oh! Yes, the man with the big tongue and whose silly band I can hear while I brush my teeth. Plenty of credibility there.

Just go away, Gene, and take Kiss’s umpteen “greatest hits” albums with you. You’re irrelevant. And old.

I like his much researched statistics. “Those kids are putting 100,000 to a million people out of work.” Wow! Spoken just like an ass clown that doesn’t exist in the real world. I’d love to go into my boss someday and say, “hey, we just sold somewhere between 100,000 to a million widgets; we made $100,000 to a million dollars on that deal; we received 100,000 to a million shipments last year!” I’m sure that kind of range doesn’t make a bit of difference and certainly doesn’t make me sound like I have no clue what’s going on. I wish these wash-ups would just shut-up. And if this was such a crisis, you wouldn’t hear the head of Warner Music earlier in the week recant the industry’s approach that launched a war against its own consumers. Or see major artists ditching their labels to go independent.

Thank goodness Gene still has that horrible, horrible reality show with his fake wife and snotty kids.

Well folks. Sorry to say. But “old” Gene has it right! The music business is just that these days. Business…..not music. The quality of music that has been coming out for the last 15 years is something on the level of absolute shit! Rap and Hip-Hop were the very worst thing that could have happened to the “music” business. Loud, thumping sounds with chanting and rip offs of legitamate musicians work. So, now we wonder why it is that kids don’t want to pay for this “music”. Well, first they seen so many rap and hip hop “artists” rip others talent off with sampling because they couldn’t find the talent within themselves to produce those tracks. Many times…lets face it, all the times….they took these copyrighted properties without even a mention given to the musician that wrote and created the piece. Not to mention, did the piece a great injustice by ruining the music they ripped off by applying it to the crap they were producing! So kids got the idea that they could ripoff artists as well with no inherit consequenses. Sounds about right doesn’t it? Plus. Music these days is so bad and so cheap on quality. Why would anyone want to pay for it. Right? If the music was the way it used to be. When people like Gene Simmons and Kiss was around full time. We would have not only a great body of music AND musicians to constantly choose from. But, we would also have listeners with more class than the average gang banger! I would say this pretty much sums it up. Thanks Gene for being the legend you are.
