Drop that horrendous data plan for your iFones, but…
by Peter Ha on November 18, 2007

20071116att4.jpgWell, lookie lookie at what AT&T did for all you crazed iFones owners. They’ve given you the option to drop your data plan down to $0, which is nice, though, you lose Visual Voicemail, SMS text messaging and unlimited data (re: no more e-mail and Web). Now, I don’t own an iPhone nor do I really know what the data plans are so this could all be old news, so I implore the CG audience to fill in any gaps.

AT&T Quietly Adds Option to Drop iPhone Data Plan [iPod Observer]

The unlimited data plan with 200 text messages costs $20. What AT&T did is allow you to drop it to 0 data and 0 text messages for $0. Simmer down.

I don’t really know why this is means for a post. But, if you want to make a post about it, calm down, if anything this is a good thing. Now if you spend practically all of your time near a WiFi hotspot, you don’t have to spend that $20 if you don’t need/want to.
