There are plenty of DIY articles and videos out there that explain how to improve your wireless signal but this is one of the easiest, quickest, and cheapest ones I’ve come across. You simply need some copper wire, a straw, a wood screw, and some very rudimentary soldering skills. Happy hacking!

  • Wow, that’s ghetto!

  • well , that’s amazing , i have another q . if you can help me
how to extend my wireless range simply ..i expect big help from you
    bless

  • Thanks for the hack. I am thinking one could build an identical antenna hack for the reciever card and improve range/reception on that end as well. Also, large numbers of wireless g routers and the like are turning up at thrift stores if you don’t want to risk your stock antenna.
    Thanks again.
    Happy holidays!

  • Thank you for the creative hack. This worked well with a smart terminal (in a warehouse environment) connecting to a wireless AP then to a Citrix farm.

    Cheers!
