It’s officially official: texting while driving will get you a ticket.
Back when I was a kid, this wasn’t a crime, this was a hobby.
Right? Right?

Only the witless and brainless would be stupid enough to text while driving

They didn’t have txt…or car-free mobile phones when I was a kid. But don’t feel bad, it has been outlawed here (in Australia) for years. Talking or txting is a AUD$300 (about $260) fine in WA (more in the East) and 3 demerit points (you get 12 pts on your license). The do-gooders are even trying to having talking on a hands-free kit while driving banned here as well.

There’s just two words to describe anyone texting while driving: complete imbecile
They shouldn’t ticket those people. They should remove offenders from the road altogether, permanently. Anyone that stupid and devoid of simple common sense, doesn’t deserve the privilege to have a driver’s license.

texting dumb…
talking ok…
Problem is the lowest common denominator factor in society. What i feel is safe for me, as a former professional driver, is not safe for others. Way back when I last had to attend traffic school in the 90’s, the word was that a cop could cite you for doing anything that might distract you from paying proper attention to the road. These laws probably aren’t necessary unless every freaking thing now requires enumeration.
