		<description>As a child I was victimized by my father,a wire tap was his weapon, spanning from age 16, to my mid 20&#039;s.

Holidays weren&#039;t the same, as he would &quot;guess&quot; what my gift to him was before opening, and he was always right, even when I went to great lengths to disguise it.  

More disturbingly...

In my mid 20&#039;s he would have been listing to private conversations between me and a boyfriend.  The topic of which was sexual in nature at some times.  

As an adult, I spent a year on the couch working thru various issues I had as a result of his invasive actions, and other less than healthy parenting tactics.  

I believe his actions were the result of lack of trust for himself.  And in the end, he lost my trust.  We no longer speak.  

He could have gained all the intelligence he desired by fostering a supportive and open environment for conversation.
