They certainly look like reasonable rumors, and "compute" when considering the current Pentax and Samsung line-ups. This explains perhaps why Samsung hasn't announced a new entry-level DSLR yet. Their (I guess) current "entry-level" DSLRs are the equivalent of the Pentax DS2/DL2-series.

There was also a note from Samsung that they are planning to concentrate on more advanced models, which would add to the 14mp sensor rumor.

The sensor of course is one of the things that will get discussed for quite a while, who makes it, who designed it, how it compares, noise, etc, etc.

The timing (Jan 24) also "computes" because PMA 2008 will take place much earlier (late Jan to early Febr), so that would be a reasonable time to announce them, in the build-up towards the PMA 2008 show.
