I’ve had my Venus for almost 2 years now, and it still hasn’t broken in half *knock on wood* I wouldn’t trade this phone for the world though, and hope I can find a new one if and when something happens to the one I currently have. I’ve never had a full keyboard on a cell phone, and find it excessive to have so many buttons. I am just as good with T9 and my venus allows me to do everything I need without excess. I love the half touch screen, because it way easier to control everything. The vibe on the keys also allows you reassurance that you actually hit the key and won’t get redirected to some odd place. I check my facebook, weather, and hokcey scores with this phone, as well as play music and games. The only downfall I see to this phone is that I usually have to charge the battery nightly, because it doesn’t hold full like it did when I first got it. Available for an upgrade in 5 months…probably won;t want any other phone <3

I am personally on my third replacement of this phone for this issue. I have treated this last replacement as delicate as newborn baby! My previous replacement was less than 6 months ago. The slide portion of the phone was ALMOST disconnected and the verizon store gave me a replacement. Since then, I had no problem unitl the entire top portion of the phone disconnected itself. Now, verizon wants me to submit a claim and pay $50 for a replace of the same DEFECTIVE phone. This is obviously a problem and I feel that replacement should be free or upgrage or change to different phone should be allowed.

Okay so ive had my LG Venus for two years and i have to say this is the worst phone i have ever had. It cuts off ALL the time, i use it as an alarm clock and it doesnt wake me up very often so i had to get an annoying alarm clock, it also cuts off a lot while i am on the phone so my boss loved that. The touch screen is moody and it usually doesnt recognize what im actually touching it just does something else. It goes on the internet randomly all the time which costs me an arm and a leg. The battery life is HORRIBLE. I text a lot so this phone lasts me about 3 to 4 hours and this is just txting, not calls, so because of that i had to buy a car charger to have a phone for the rest of the day. I like the camera and the video camera though it is really glitchy. Lately when it tells me my inbox is full and i delete all the messages i have to turn my phone off and on because it doesnt recognize that i have deleted them. This phone is so glitchy and I really hate it, ive had a few of them and im ready for a new phone im happy my 2 year is up but i cant find a phone with good battery life that has a video camera and a regular camera that isnt flip and crazy expensive. But yeah if you’re offered an LG Venus my opinion is to pass on it unless the persron is paying you to take it lol. Ive never been so unsatisfied with a phone.

I’ve had the Venus for 11 months now. All the “chrome” is completely gone so it just looks like primer now, my screen is bubbled on the side, and in the corners the screen is lifting up and coming off entirely. Touch screen is cool, but really slow, as with the camera. I would not recommend this phone.

my phone did the exact same thing!! i have had EIGHT of these and i love them but i cant deal with it always coming off the track. it sucks but im getting a new phone. for someone who isnt gonna use their phone way too much i think its an awesome phone to have. the venus is my favorite out of all the phones ive had.

i’ve had 2 venus phones for about a year and a half. the first one i traded in because the chrome on the sides was all scratched off and i wanted a new phone. i told the verizon people that it would shut off randomly and they gave me a new one for free. about a month ago my touch screen was being really wonky. if i hit the bottom right shortcuts key, the upper right contacts key would get selected. also when i receive a text message the touch screen would not work. other than that this phone is really nice and if there is no nice phones in october when my plan is up, i might just pay to get a new replacement phone.

my phone was in 2 pieces too and when asurion gave me another one, the touchscreen didn’t work. the phone is nonsense. i am now getting the chocolate 3 in black. praying for better results

I purchased the LG Venus about 2 weeks ago, and while i love its sleek & sophisticated style, i’ve found the performance (of my phone at least) to be faulty at best. I havn’t been able to text, add a new contact, or add an event to my calendar w/out the phone freezing. Its been frustrating to say the least. I’ve noticed though that many of you don’t have this problem…

my phone is in 2 parts as well, it was working for a day because the tape was holding it together, then i woke up and it was in completely two parts. Piece of SHIT. now i got to get a new one , now being the third fucking venus. Fuck VENUS.!!!!!!

i was so excited to get this phone for my birthday a year ago. i loved it for the first three months or so and then it started freezing when i was texting. i had to put a space between every single letter to prevent it from freezing which made sending a simple text message take about 5 minutes. the touch screen also stopped working well so I would have to hit the button incredibly hard to make it work. the silver around the edge of the phone is about half chipped off now. thank god i got a new phone today :)

Yeah my phone would freeze too. I figured out that it wouldn’t freeze though if when I was texting I put a space between every single letter. then I could go back and delete them all and it wouldn’t freeze. Weird much? And my mom wouldn’t let me get a new phone either so I had to deal with that for 6 months and I used to text constantly but now I pretty much hate it because of that dumb phone. I got a new phone today, finally. Thank God it isn’t a Venus.

The Venus is honestly by far the worst phone I’ve owned. It was very over priced even with a 2 year contract it was still well over $200.. which definitely wasn’t worth it. Not even several weeks after I bought it was it no longer available… wonder why? I must have brought that phone in 6 times in a little over a year and after receiving my 5th replacement phone and in less than 90 days it was broken again i refused to have another one sent. Now I have the enV3 which is a great phone.. but in my opinion the Venus looks appealing but isn’t worth the hassle

the venus sucks the paint on the side chipped off like a week after i got it, and its really slow…im still on my original phone since december, but my counsin is on his 3rd venus, and my friend is on her second one…DONT GET THE VENUS

I got the Venus last October and I loved and worshipped it. It was a perfect phone, never did anything wrong. But starting proabaly around May or June, when I’d put it on the charger, it would never say “Charge Complete.” It would just keep building up the bars over and over again. I’d even keep it on the charger for days and when I’d take it off, there’d only be one bar, or it’d turn right off. On the rare times I’d actually get it to stay ON, I’d have to keep it plugged in so it wouldn’t turn off. It sucked, and I hated it. But I had insurance on it, so I got another one a month or so ago, and it’s all good again.

The only thing I’m mad about NOW, is that when it fell off my pillow the other day, one of the screw covers on the bottom back corner fell off, so it looks really shitty. It’s the pink phone, so it’s really noticeable. I’m thinking about getting a cover, but the cover is clear so you might be able to see that the screw cover’s missing…

Sigh. :(

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

In less than two years I’ve needed three. And I take damn good care of my phones, they just keep developing new random problems–mostly with shutting off unexpectedly and freezing. Then my charging port broke? Didn’t know it was so possible, especially since I don’t charge daily, only when my battery is on low.

Great phone concept, shitty engineering. NOT WORTH IT.

I have had the Venus for a year now, and I can’t wait to get a new phone. The touch screen barely works anymore, having to wait ten seconds before the phone actually performs the action. The outer part of the phone, the silver paint, is all gone also. I did not misuse if either. Half the time, I can’t even talk on the phone because that also doesn’t work. Yes, the keyboard just needs some time for getting used to, but it’s not that bad. I was also surprised because it could have had many more cool features. Other than the 1/3 touch screen, it’s nothing special. I also disagree with some of these people, because it is NOT a good phone. I do not recommend it.
