Zune hackers have done what was once thought impossible: They’ve developed a way to change the background of the Zune desktop software. A team of over 200 hackers spent the better part of the summer on the project, with lead coder TarXin2 stating, “It was hard work, but worth it.”
Ok, not really, but if you want to really “make it you”, you can, and Cesar over at Zune Insider has the linkage.

Funny, when was it ever thought impossible? It’s only been out for 2 weeks….
I have problems with my albums’ cover.
I can’t anymore go on web to get the picture!
@ACE
i think that’s where the “Ok, not really” comes in.
ACE, that was part of the joke mate.
Hopefully some hackers can get this thing working on Linux. I would love to have the 80 gig version, but taking my music from my linux install to my virtualbox image is too much work. Oh why couldn’t they have made this thing drag n drop?
Hacked the desktop software? the only desktop hack I want to see is the UTTER elimination of the desktop software all together. NO desktop software. DRAG AND DROP my music onto the ZUNE and get the damned thing to STOP looking at ALBUM ARTIST to make my damned albums and JUST use the ALBUM tag like its freaking supposed to. GRRRR and to top it off it IGNORED my album art when I make them all one album and will only use the album art in the FIRST file in the album. Grrrrr
