what you guys fail to realize, and why these ads are for EUROPE and not the US, is that the view of these ads as an artform, not just a rundown of the system is what they want…they want to establish prestige, imagination, things which are absent from the US ads and (very dumb of me to say) audience…this is why the “this is living” commercials would never work in the states…the original ones(with th european villa and the masturbating football player) never mentioned the ps3…why? because they didnt need to…they were appealing to the passionate, the football game player that loves it so much, the gameplay elements that feel so real to the player…IMMERSION.

these ads are dumbed own versions of that, while not selling its artistic soul. again, they have visual representations of what the features are, and their interaction with the audience is left to be the same.

these ads are for the thinkers, the parents of the pubescent pocket plunderer that need something else to hear rather than “the graphics are amaaazing…i dont know what it is but its good!” The UK and the rest of europe have that deep sense of artistic truity that elements of normal life are appreciated even more when there is an artistic spin on what they already know.

body lotion ads are with full body art and 200 people…environment ads have environment scenes animated using painted hands, painting of historical figures endorsing the idea of a product before it is invented…all examples of the artistic direction in ads here.

US ads consist of

1.super hot woman
2. a young child
3. an old (experienced person)
4. a sports personality needing extra cash

all with a superficial outlook on the product being sold, because most of the Us cares more about the superficial things on the item.
