That is, it'll let you use some sort of VOIP service to make and receive phone calls over a wireless internet connection. So it's a device that looks like a phone and can fool your friends and loved-ones into thinking it's a phone but when you're barreling down the highway and someone in the car asks to use your phone, you're gonna have to come clean. It'll be tough, but you'll feel better after it's out in the open and you can all talk about it without getting upset.

That OpenMoko link that vraa left up above is an open source Linux phone that actually runs on a GSM network like a "regular" cell phone.</description>
