I've seen claims that DVDs don't look good before, and I'm wondering what people are talking about. My 360 is my primary media player, DVD, CD, Game or otherwise, and I've never experienced anything but 52inches at 1080i. Component cables on a rear-projection look fine, these "performance" scores are bias or bogus.

To be honest. I always use my 360 as my dvd player on my 60" plasma screen and I can't tell a difference between that and my regular HD DVD player! But it would be nice if they did released some sort of update to improve video/audio quality.

i dunno - both have worked well enough for me. but maybe thats because I shed all videophile/audiophile tendencies in the last couple of years as they were causing the "never-happy" syndrome found in most of their members.

The HDDVD add-on player sucks even worse. And I honestly can't think why anyone would want to watch a movie with the X-Box making more noise than the 747's flying over my house.
