iran Oh, wonderful. Apparently Iran has used 216 AMD processors to build the largest supercomputer in the country. AMD immediately responded by saying that it’s never shipped anything to Iran due to the big fat embargo the US has that prohibits exports to Iran.

The computer system will be used for weather research and forecasting, according to Iranian scientists.

  • Let’s bomb it with some hotty hot Prescott Pentium 4.

  • I can’t believe how SHOCKINGLY ignorant the press is.

Haven’t ANY Of you morons talked to an actual Iranian? there is this thing called the INTERNET you can do it with.

When you talk to an Iranian with Yahoo Instant Messenger or Skype, what do you think they’re using to talk back with? Goat skins and stone tools?

Anybody with 1/2 a brain (I realize that’s about 0.1% of the people in a developed country) can build a super computer today with a Beowulf cluster and stock parts.

Seriously, does the United States think that Iranians don’t use computers? They’re not that dumb – go visit Tehran, you can buy a top of the line Intel processor there and you won’t have to go to the black market to do it. I’m tired of this bullshit propaganda from MORONS that know absolutely NOTHING about the country. If you can’t do the job of a journalists, go into commercials, where propaganda (oh, I mean Public Relations – thanks Ed Bernays) is acceptable.
