Ladies and gentlemen, as my CrunchGear colleagues are all too well aware, I have a remarkably short fuse coupled with some sort of dementia. Yes, it makes for dynamite chat rooms logs, but my stability has been questioned on more than one occasion (ask Biggs). So when I’m sitting in the Journalism Department here following the Real Madrid-Lazio and Liverpool-Marseille games on as.com, any distractions I’m subjected to better damn well be vital to my well-being. So not only was Facebook about a second away from smashing my privacy to pieces a few days ago, now I have to put up with spam messages?
Will Facebook spam ruin my appetite for the site? It really just might.
SPAM kills puppies. I’m not sure how, but it does.
If FB goes to MySpace level spam, there will be serious trouble… my gf gets a lot of weird spammy messages because she has a particularly cute photo up, but aside from girls being randomly facebook messaged FB-spam is pretty low on my radar.

Everyone said that facebook is better and the #1 reason was b/c it don’t have spam and I told them you just wait facebook will get and I was right the more people on facebook the more there is going to be
You know you can control who’s able to send you messages, right?
I havent gotton things like that, but ever since I put my YIM screen name in there, I have been getting spam sent by bots to me over YIM.
I also put my AIM in there, but I have had no problems with that. Weird.
You won’t be able to stop the spam at facebook. It will get 20X worse than people will move on to the next biggest site.
I’d recommend going to myspace or peerhut.
